Dragon Dream Team Adventures!

Amy and I started this little company as a way to give back to the community and state that have given us so much.  At Little Chicago Clothing Co., we get numerous requests for custom design and print services.  We love when we can design and print shirts for charitable organizations and non-profits.
Recently, we were asked to design and print shirts for an amazing group of women.  The Dragon Dream Team is a group of breast cancer survivors who participate in dragon boat races around Ohio and other states, and they happen to practice in Amy's hometown, the Portage Lakes!  Juanita, one of the members, contacted us about designing shirts for their competition in Italy, and we were thrilled to say "Yes, of course we will!"
The Dragon Dream Team represented their homeland well, finishing third out of over 120 international teams! How awesome is THAT?!
The following is an update from Juanita:

"We recently traveled to Italy for the 2018 International Breast Cancer Participatory Congress (IBCPC) Dragon Boat Festival. This was the trip of a lifetime for many of us.  We have been practicing for months leading up to this event, and our hard work definitely paid off.  There were more than 120 teams participating in the race, and my team came in 3rd overall, behind only Canada and New Zealand!  We were the first place team from the USA.  The other team from Ohio was in the top 50.
Every continent in the world was represented by a breast cancer survivor team.  We are still in awe of the entire trip, and the opportunity to participate in an event of this magnitude. It is being called the largest women's sporting event, with more than 4000 breast cancer survivors.  Three men participated in the event as well.
The parade of teams was certainly a highlight of the trip. All teams gathered to walk through the streets of Florence, Italy representing their countries and states. It was an overwhelming evening as the streets were lined with thousands of people cheering for us. We were of course chanting OH-IO, and were thrilled by the number of spectators joining with us to support Ohio. The Star Spangled Banner was played as we entered the opening ceremony.  It was incredibly emotional, and still brings tears to my eyes.
Your shirts were a hit! Everyone loved them! Some team members were even asked to trade them with other teams! Thanks again for the work you put in to preparing them for us. We have memories to last a lifetime!"
Paddles up!
